Usually as software-defined storage: HPE server systems combined with third-party software. Through the HPE Complete programme that mostly means Scality, Cohesity, iTernity and Qumulo.

What to watch

The software is the deciding choice. Object storage, classic NAS and archiving look similar on a datasheet and behave completely differently when you need data back. Before choosing, settle how quickly data has to be available again.
