## What it is

VCF Operations is the operational view of the platform: capacity, utilisation, cost and
health of vSphere, storage and networking in one interface. Until VCF 9 the product was
called Aria Operations, and before that vRealize Operations.

## What VCF 9 changed

It is no longer a separately licensed add-on but part of the platform, and it takes on
fleet management for the VCF instances. Anyone who worked without Aria Operations until now
gets it with the upgrade.

## Log management is part of it

Log management is a function of VCF Operations rather than a licence of its own, and it is
included in VVF, VCF Edge and VCF. What was separately licensed as Aria Operations for Logs
until VCF 9 is part of the platform now.
