## How you add value

You move confidently between architecture, engineering and automation, and you want to build platforms that do more than work: platforms that scale, stay resilient and last? Then you are who we are looking for.

You design modern cloud and infrastructure platforms for demanding enterprise environments, and you accompany customers from the architecture to the technical implementation.

### Your tasks

- Concept, design and further development of modern private cloud platforms based on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
- Building and implementing software-defined infrastructure across compute, storage and networking
- Developing sustainable platform architectures with a focus on scalability, automation and operational reliability
- Technical consulting for our customers, and close collaboration with the engineering and architecture teams

### Optional, if you want to go deeper

Depending on your interests and experience, you can take on additional responsibility in these areas:

- Developing and integrating automation and orchestration solutions
- Building modern Kubernetes platforms, including CI/CD integration and platform operations
- Advancing network and security architectures, for example microsegmentation and zero trust

## What makes you the ideal candidate

### What you bring

- A completed education in IT or a comparable qualification
- Several years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, virtualisation or cloud
- Hands-on experience as a systems engineer (at least 3 years, and the more the better)
- A sound technical understanding of modern datacenter and platform technologies
- Hands-on experience with datacenter infrastructure (storage, SAN, server/blade and backup)
- Vendor certifications or product knowledge are a plus: VMware by Broadcom, HPE storage and servers, Veeam
- A grounding in virtualisation, whether compute (for example vSphere) or storage (for example vSAN)
- A grounding in cyber security, for example how common concepts such as microsegmentation, IDS/IPS and firewalling work
