## How you add value

We are looking for a VMware solution architect who enjoys working with different technology approaches across VMware software-defined datacenter, end-user computing, networking and security, VMware Cloud, and app modernisation with VMware Tanzu. Additional interest or skills in infrastructure and platform topics and solutions (Veeam and HPE) would be an ideal and welcome addition.

As a VMware solution architect you support our organisation with your extensive knowledge and with new ideas for infrastructure. Your sound knowledge gives our customers firm support on questions of architecture. With your ideas and your courteous, engaging manner you capture their needs in a structured way, turn them into solutions that work, and make sure along the way that these developments stay documented. The different project phases are only a minor challenge to you.

At soulTec you can contribute from the planning and implementation of demanding environments, through the optimisation of existing solutions, to day-to-day operations, and bring in everything you have learned in practice.

- Concept, design and engineering of VMware by Broadcom infrastructure solutions
- Configuration, installation and troubleshooting of those infrastructures
- Consulting and training for customers, and technical presales support for our sales team
- The ability to analyse complex problems and derive ways to solve them

## What makes you the ideal candidate

- A completed IT education or equivalent training; several years of professional experience
- Hands-on experience as a solution architect or senior systems engineer (at least 3 years)
- Sound knowledge, or at least the basics, of software-defined networking (primary focus on NSX)
- Hands-on experience with datacenter infrastructure (storage, SAN, server/blade and backup)
- Vendor certifications or product knowledge are a plus: VMware by Broadcom, HPE storage and servers, Veeam
- A grounding in virtualisation, whether compute (for example vSphere) or storage (for example vSAN)
- Cyber security, for example how common concepts such as microsegmentation, IDS/IPS and firewalling work
- Strong joined-up thinking, to get to the bottom of complex situations and problems and to fix faults
- A motivating and likeable personality, with customers and with colleagues
- Determination and a get-it-done attitude
- Independence, enthusiasm for new technologies and ongoing technical training
- Very good German is essential, as is good written and spoken English

**You do not see yourself as a VMware solution architect yet, but you are an enthusiast and want to become an expert?** soulTec wants to pass on what it knows and to train the experts of tomorrow.
