## How you add value

We are looking for a system engineer with IT project experience in campus and/or datacenter network implementations, who enjoys working with different technology approaches in principal networking and software-defined networking. Additional interest or skills in (cyber) security and in infrastructure and platform topics and solutions would be an ideal and welcome addition.

The different project phases are only a minor challenge to you. At soulTec you can contribute from the planning and implementation of demanding environments, through the optimisation of existing solutions, to day-to-day operations, and bring in everything you have learned in practice.

- Concept, design and engineering of network infrastructure solutions, SDN included
- Configuration, installation and troubleshooting of network infrastructures
- Consulting and training for customers, and technical presales support for our sales team
- SDN and SD-WAN with VMware NSX and VMware SD-WAN
- Helping us develop further in networking and security
- The ability to analyse complex problems and derive ways to solve them

## What makes you the ideal candidate

- A completed IT education or equivalent training; several years of professional experience
- Sound, and if possible certified, knowledge of network technology, above all at OSI layers 2 and 3, with a focus on routing with BGP (and EVPN where relevant) and OSPF
- Sound knowledge, or at least the basics, of software-defined networking (primary focus on VMware NSX)
- A grounding in virtualisation, whether compute (for example ESXi) or storage (for example vSAN)
- Cyber security, for example how common concepts such as microsegmentation, IDS/IPS and firewalling work
- Strong joined-up thinking, to get to the bottom of complex situations and problems and to fix faults
- A motivating and likeable personality, with customers and with colleagues
- Determination and a get-it-done attitude
- Independence, enthusiasm for new technologies and ongoing technical training
- Very good German is essential, as is good written and spoken English
